Junior Web Developer

Location: Nottingham Are you a curious, hands-on developer looking to build and improve the website of one of the UK’s leading private company data platforms? We’re looking for a Graduate Web Developer who loves solving problems, experimenting with new tech and finding smarter, faster ways to get things done. If you want a role that goes well beyond writing code from predefined tickets, this could be perfect for you! About us We’re a market leading tech company that provides data on all UK, German, and Irish private companies, with a focus on the most innovative and the fastest growing ones. We’re at a pretty exciting stage right now: we’ve built a profitable, high-growth business, with 120+ employees and an enviable client list. But we’re not done yet. We’re on a mission to become a global data company that helps every organisation, across the private and public sectors, discover and work better with ambitious, interesting companies. The role As our Graduate Web Developer, you’ll help shape our digital experience, working across web development, AI-powered automation, SEO and experimentation to build, maintain and continuously improve our live website. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership, try out ideas and develop your skills, so if you’re after variety, you’ve come to the right place! This role will involve: - Web Development: You’ll maintain and improve the Beauhurst website, building landing pages, new features and reusable components, and turning ideas, designs and prototypes into working solutions quickly. - Website Updates: You’ll manage day-to-day updates to the site, including blogs, case studies and other content. - Performance: You’ll develop your understanding of hosting, caching, redirects and performance optimisation, writing clean, maintainable, well-structured code. - AI & Automation: You’ll automate repetitive tasks and workflows using tools such as Claude, Zapier and APIs, and use AI-assisted development tools to prototype and deliver efficiently. - Integrations: You’ll connect tools and platforms through APIs and connectors, and spot opportunities in this area to save time and improve how we work. - Technical SEO: You’ll support our technical SEO, including crawlability, indexing and site architecture, and experiment with programmatic SEO and scalable landing pages. - Experimentation: You’ll work with the Marketing team on A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation, testing ideas and measuring results. About you We’re seeking someone with foundational knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and responsive web design, good coding habits and familiarity with Git. We don’t expect you to know everything from day one: curiosity, problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn matter more to us than a long list of technologies on your CV. To excel in this role you will be: - A natural problem solver: you enjoy figuring things out and finding practical solutions - A builder at heart: you love turning prototypes into working products quickly - Curious about AI: you’re excited by new ways of developing and automating work - An adaptable learner: you’re comfortable getting stuck into unfamiliar technologies and challenges - Proactive and independent: you take ownership, ask good questions and suggest improvements - Quality-conscious: you balance speed with clean code, performance and maintainability Ideally, you’ll also have some experience with React or Vue.js (or be keen to learn), and familiarity with tools like Claude Code or Zapier. 🕊️ Our offer We're offering a competitive starting salary of £30,000 p.a.
