Our sources

ImmigrationGPT relies exclusively on official UK government sources:

  • GOV.UK: Official immigration rules, guidance, and policy documents
  • Home Office register of licensed sponsors: read twice a day
  • UK Visas and Immigration: Fee schedules and processing information
  • Immigration Rules: The legal framework for UK immigration

How guides and news are written

Guides and news name ImmigrationGPT as the author. Each page shows when it was published and when it was last updated.

News articles and some guides are written by an AI model from a GOV.UK page or announcement. Since 9 October 2026, our code checks each draft against that page before it is published: every figure must appear in the source, and wording that tells you what to do, such as “you should”, is rejected. A draft that fails these checks is rewritten once. If it still fails, it is not published. Articles published before 9 October 2026 were not checked this way. Each article links to its source.

We write and edit the other guides on this site with the help of AI tools. They link to the GOV.UK pages they are based on. In October 2026 we checked the most visible fees and thresholds in these guides against GOV.UK and corrected the ones that were wrong. Some other figures have not been checked yet.

How we stay current

  • Daily monitoring: We track GOV.UK for policy updates and guidance changes
  • Sponsor register sync: The sponsor database is refreshed from official Home Office sponsor-register data
  • Source linking: AI responses include direct links to official sources so you can verify information
  • Version tracking: We note when rules change and highlight recent updates

Accuracy standards

  • No speculation: We only present information that can be traced to official sources
  • Clear attribution: Every answer aims to cite the relevant GOV.UK page or document
  • Unclear rules: When a rule is unclear, we say so
  • Corrections: When we find a mistake, we correct it

Important limitations

  • Not legal advice: ImmigrationGPT provides information, not immigration advice. We are not regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (formerly OISC) or the SRA.
  • No case assessment: We cannot assess your individual eligibility or circumstances
  • Rules change: UK immigration rules change often. GOV.UK has the current rules.
  • AI limitations: AI answers and AI-written articles can be wrong. Check the GOV.UK source they link to.
